It never fails to happen. Post a nice looking car for a decent price and suddenly a better one will pop up in the tips. We could post a running/driving $1k short wheelbase 911 and someone would find a $500 example with nicer pictures. The wagon from yesterday was offered for a very reasonable price, but this next one is offered for less, but is it a better deal? Find this 1967 Volvo Amazon Wagon offered for $5,000 via craigslist, located in Port Angeles, WA. Tip from Andrey.
The Amazon was known as the 120/122S/123GT around the world because German motorcycle manufacturer Kreidler had copyright on the name Amason, so Volvo agreed to use the spelling Amazon locally in Sweden and call it the 120-series elsewhere.
The color combination on this wagon is about perfect, dark green over saddle/tan works really well. The seller admits that the interior needs some work to get it nice and the paint is far from perfect. The seller has owned the car since 1983, so with any luck it will come with some spare parts and some old photos.
The seller also mentions that the rebuilt B20 engine is starting to show to signs of excess blowby. At first glance it looks like a steal, but with some more digging it appears that this is priced according to its condition. Still…$5k doesn’t buy much these days…
See a better deal on an Amazon wagon…there’s always a better deal. firstname.lastname@example.org
