5k Flash: Black Plate Special: 1964 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser
The Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser, its Buick Sport Wagon sibling and Chevelle Wagon, Tempest Wagon cousins are becoming collectable as cool rides for large families or people who need an occasional trip to the hardware store. Prices for nice examples are on the rise and today’s Vista Cruiser really stands out as a good deal. Find this 1964 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser with 330 cu V8, 9 passenger seating & CA black plates for sale in West LA, CA for $3785 via craigslist. Tip from Richard S.
This is the first year for the Vista Cruiser and while this one isn’t perfect, it does look to be a great bargain.
The 330 cubic inch V8 is mated to a turbo300 2-speed automatic transmission.
The desirable front facing 3rd row rear seats are comfortable for children and midgets, but adults should seek refuge elsewhere.
Not a bad way to spend less than $4k and get a classic wagon, just check for rust because this price seems to good to be true.

The driver side looks like the worst of it. Somone must have used the park by feel method of parking.
I first saw this listing thinking it was a friend of mine, who also has one of these in approximately the same condition, same color scheme, but 3 speed manual mated to a 330, and factory air. He wants somewhat more than 4K, though. Maybe I can trade him the Mercedes W124 wagon I just bought from him……….
Beautiful looking car. I've always liked the 1964 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser and the 1964 Buick Sports Wagon.
