5k: 5-Oh Power: 1965 Ford Falcon Restomod
It is no secret that we love the classic Ford Falcon for its combination of V8 power, cheap parts and light weight; and we are always on the lookout for Ford’s not-a-Mustang with a late model fuel injected engine swap. Find this 1965 Ford Falcon
for sale in Yucaipa, CA currently bidding on ebay for $2,559 reserve-not-met with 3 days to go.
The Falcon shared its basic chassis and most suspension and powertrain components with the Mustang, but today they aren’t quite as commonplace as the Mustang coupe. This one has some modern parts added to help bring it closer to modern car performance.
The engine is identified by the seller as a 5.0 HO engine from a Mustang Cobra – and we are going to guess it is from the 240 horsepower SN-95 era Cobra, which should be a considerable performance increase from anything offered in the Falcon back in the day. Additional ponies are available from the aftermarket with cams/heads/intake/exhaust for cheap.
This Falcon has been through a restoration including paint and the interior looks refreshed, but some of the missing parts (window roll up handles, etc) are available on the internet from many Mustang/Falcon parts suppliers. A big plus is the fact that the big pedal on the left is attached to 4-wheel disc brakes.

Nice concept, but the post kills it for me.
