5-Speed Diesel: 1997 BMW 725TDS

I’ve known a number of people who were strangely obsessed with the E38 7-series. It is probably something to do with the fact that it was the last of stately styled BMWs before Chris Bangle wreaked havoc on BMW’s design style for years. Anyway, a manual gearbox wasn’t available n the USDM E38 7-series, the last 7 with a stick was the E32 735i.in the USDM E38 7-series,..but you could get one on the other side of the ocean. Today’s example isn’t just a manual gearbox, but it also has a turbo diesel engine. Find this 1997 BMW 725TDS offered for $14,900 in Grove, WA via craigslist. Tip from Cory.

Ah… that shinny paint… always brings me to my knees…
Hey, anyone get the VIN on this DIESEL?
-Stan (…OK, I’ll stop now…)
those wheels look pretty cool. not sure i would want to own them, though. imagining all the time with a toothbrush to get the brake dust off in between all those narrow spaces. oof.
Serious question: Do people really get excited about cars like this? I see a 4 door sedan that is going to eat me alive in repair costs, and not really be that thrilling. I don’t get it.
