2k: 948: 1985.5 Porsche 944, LT1 V8

The Porsche 944 with LS1 V8 that we featured last week ended bidding at $7,100 – a fair deal for buyer and seller (although the seller did want to recoup all of his costs, it was an unrealistic expectation that was torpedoed first and foremost by his listing of all his costs).  The key on making money on a car you’ve put work into isn’t on the sum of your final product, it is in the initial price of acquisition…like advice from a stock broker, buy low — sell high.  Here is an example of a low price for your V8 944 — this 1985.5 Porsche 944 with LT1 V8 for sale in Raleigh, NC for $2,495 via craigslist.

This Porsche 944 isn’t ready to start any] snow drifting just yet -first you’ll need to re-build the engine and probably do some other undisclosed maintenance.   The seller installed a Chevy LT1 V8 several years ago and pulled the top end apart for upgrades, but never got back to finishing the job.

The siren’s song is strong with this one, but this is what it looked like before the heads came off the engine. See another Porsche for $2,500 that is only a few weekends of wrenching away from V8 hoonage?  tips@dailyturismo.com
