#209 of 1500: 1989 Shelby Dakota

In the late 80s Carroll Shelby followed his tried and true method of hot-rodding a pedestrian car by shoehorning a V8 into a small package (and plastering his name all over it), this time the diminutive Dodge Dakota pickup!.  Oversize graphics harken back to an era when graphics were a replacement for actual engine horsepower due to EPA mandated emissions requirements. Find this 1989 Shelby Dakota here on eBay bidding for $2800 in Miller Place, NY with 4 days to go.

For sale is my 1989 Dodge Dakota Shelby #209 White. I have owned this vehicle for 3 1/2 years. It has been In storage for most of the time I owned it. I had the body and paint freshened up when I first bought it. New stripes and paint . It does have a couple of small dings on one side and the bed has a few scratches on it. The steering wheel cover is rough. The seat has one small hole. The car runs and drives fine. It has all the proper badges . This was a driver and was used as such. The engine and trans are good, I did notice some oil seepage from the rear trans seal . The power steering and brakes work well with no issues. The A/c was low, I added Freon and it is down to 54 degrees. The under carriage is solid. It was rusty  but I cleaned it and painted it. It is could use a good cleaning . The wheels and caps are original . They are in serviceable condition. I would have them refurbished and some new caps . The lights and instruments all work, The heat and a/c work normally. The fog lights work. The head liner is sagging and needs replacement. The dash is in good condition with some small cracks in the corner. The radio is original. It works fine but I have never tried the cassette player. The rear bumper is original and could use replacement . Any other questions call me : Ken 631 897 XXXX This car is being advertised locally so auction could end early.
