15k: Seller Submission: 2007 BMW 335i Sedan Auto
In 2006 BMW introduced the E90/92 generation 3-series but you had to wait until 2007 to get the twin turbo N54 powered rocket sled version. The release of the 335i took a huge bite out of the E46 M3 used prices as the non-M 335i was just about better in every way and is certainly on the short list of late model sedans for less than $20k. Find this 2007 BMW 335i Sedan for sale in Daphne, AL for $17,000 via craigslist. Seller submission from Wes D who says “I’d love to see my car posted on your site , since its fast and sports the latest plasti-dipped fashion.”
Craigslist has banned any kind of img src html code and processes all images down to potato phone quality, so we asked Wes for some higher res photos. He sent us a few from his mobile and asked us to obscure the license plate…so…in the great mystical tradition of using a finger to obscure the license plate we added a Miley Cyrus twerk-ready foam finger ™. The first attempt involved taking a picture of my own finger in front of a picture of the car on my screen…but after helping Hunsbloger with some Sable maintenance the other day my finger looked like I’d been thumb wrestling a coal miner.
The BMW 335i is powered by BMW’s N54 a 3.0 liter inline-6 equipped with twin-turbos that put out a healthy 300+ horsepower stock (BMW under-rated these cars a bit). This one is equipped with an aftermarket tune, and some intake/exhaust mods and is good for 400 horsepower and 400 ft-lbs of twerk. All kidding aside, the 335i is a brutally fast car even when equipped with the 6 speed automatic gearbox.
Today the car is covered with a film of “plasti dip” which is a flexible non-etching adhesive paint, but can be removed with a pair of foam fingers and an afternoon. Checkout this video here showing some dudes removing the plasti dip from an Audi. The orange has a certain mental appeal, but if you hate it you could get this 335i back to its original white with ease and probably the paint underneath will be fine.

I've driven this car and it is brutally fast. It easily out ran a new Mustang gt. That 400hp must be at the wheels. I've never driven anything faster. All I could keep saying was wow!
Yeah. Crazy fast. Loved mine for every moment of its time with me…until the interior started peeling like a 3 day old sunburn.
