15k: Death Proof: 1970 Chevrolet Nova Movie Car
Death Proof (2007) was an oddly disturbing instant cult classic written, directed and produced by Quentin Tarantino. The star of the movie was a 1970 Chevrolet Nova that the evil stuntman has rigged to be “death proof” for a properly restrained occupant in any horrific crash. Anyway, it is classic Tarantino – sex, violence and rock ‘n’ roll and today you can have one of the seven Novas prepared for the movie. Find this 1970 Chevrolet Nova Death Proof Movie Car for sale in Frontenhausen, Germany currently bidding on ebay for $15,100 with 4 days to go. Tip from Kaibeezy.
This Nova is located in Germany, but the seller will ship it anywhere in the world as an included part of the final price. The title is salvaged and the car’s street usability is questionable…but for the movie buff with garage space, this would be cool.
Hard to really tell the condition of the inside from the few photos included, but it looks like there is a slightly oxidized roll cage and it is setup for instant death to any of your passengers. When interviewed about the film, Tarantino bragged at how much actual old-school special effects he used for the movie and how little CGI was involved, so this particular car has probably been given a fair amount of screen time.
