15k: Bold Roast: 1988 BMW M5 E28

The nice thing about looking for an E28 M5 is that you don’t need to select for paint/interior color since they all came as black coffee on the outside with a cream & sugar interior.  The US market E28 M5 was only available in 1988 and just over 2000 were built making it one of the rarest of M-badged cars, but is still surprisingly affordable today.  Find this 1988 BMW M5 offered for $13,950 via craigslist.  Tip from Kaibeezy.

This 4-door sport sedan was quick machine when it left the factory and faster than just about anything with doors in 1988 (4 or 2!).   The black paint on this one looks good in the photos, especially for the asking price.

No need for engine/trans option selection since they were all powered by the same espressocharged S38 3.5 liter inline six, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.  This S38 is stock except for a Dinan chip which will probably make it good for a few more ponies than the stock 256 horsepower.
