What Happened To These? 2008 Chevrolet Uplander

The Uplander was released in 2005 as a replacement for Chevy’s Astro (rear-wheel-drive Van platform) and Venture (front-wheel-drive platform) — which were simultaneously being canceled. It was typical GM stuff, which meant some nasty plastic interior, a selection of big displacement V6 engines, 4-speed slushbox, and parts bin reject parts distributed evenly throughout. I’m not saying the Uplander was a bad car…in fact, it can probably hold its own against a used Sienna or Odyssey, but in typical GM fashion, it was poorly advertised, had a hideous front end, and was abruptly canceled at the first sign of a sales headwind during the 2008 carpocalypse. GM product people really have the perseverance and long term vision of a ferret in a tinsel store. Find this 2008 Chevrolet Uplander offered for $6,200 in Concord, CA via craigslist.
