This next car has a small turbodiesel engine and a 5-speed transmission that will seem a bit strange on the wild Interstates of America, but over across the pond, this is what they drive. Or drove, since they’ve now gone to automatic gearboxes and hybrids and electrics and other such nonsense. Anyway, the E290 is very similar to the US spec E300, except it has a inline-5 cylinder 2.9 liter inline OM602 that pushes 129 horsepower and 220 ft-lbs of torque into a 5-speed gearbox. Find this 1996 Mercedes-Benz E290 offered for $6,900 in Columbus, OH via craigslist. Tip from Cory.

Need attention : shocks, sunroof and may be some cosmetics, I drive it every day, super reliable 45 MPG better than my daughter Prius !!! with a lot of power being a factory 5 speed.
Also it was in the South of France, good frame.
It has a OH clean title in my name, if you serious, I can send video when back in town (traveling a lot). or text me at show contact info if you wish to pick up in person feel free, but it need 4 shocks I can do this in my shop for $350 installed, will be safer for long distance. That’s it. Please no time waster this is a VERY VERY rare car.
