Two Scoops of Lemon Sorbet: 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1
This next car comes as a tip from Erik202 who writes: I have a strange desire to own one of these, I don’t know exactly what it is, I am generally not drawn to things with the blue oval stuck to them but there was one that ran at the local dragstrip when i was a kid, definitely my first encounter with a Mach 1 of this body style…. mine would have to be a manual trans but this one meets most other requirements (ok maybe not price). I too share the strange urge to get a 72/73 Mach 1, and this seems to be a cool original condition example with the notable exception of the “AMX Dual pump trans”…which is totally a mystery to me…hopefully a typo. Find this 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 offered for $21000 in Inland Empire Los Angeles area, CA via craigslist.

I think this car would increase in value if the owner would just park in the sun.
Yeah, that color looks great in the sun exposed areas.
FMX trans – but no idea about the "duel (dual?) pump"
Wasn't that Eleanor in the original "Gone in Sixty Seconds "?

@Miatatraveler – yep, Eleanor was yellow but same body style otherwise, '71 sportsroof. That movie was filmed in the South Bay LA area (Torrance, Redondo Beach, Carson, and surrounding areas) – which is where DT is based. The big jump scene at the end was on 190th St. just down the road apiece. Maybe this explains why Vince has a hankerin' for a big yellow Mach 1.
That a/c compressor and pulley aint playin' no games!
Harder to parallel park than a 20 foot U-Haul box truck
