Turbo Diesel Inline-6: 1986 Mercedes-Benz 300SDL W126

Most of the aging Mercedes-Benz 80s/90s oil burners driving around the streets of SoCal have the inline-4 or inline-5 engines; particularly of note is the 3.0 liter OM617 found in the W123 platform with the 300D badge on the back. However, a 6-cylinder version of that same engine called the OM603 was not as reliable as the OM617 but did provide more power (143 horses) and torque (195 ft-lbs) with the aid of a small turbocharger. Well maintained classic Mercedes. 6 cylinder diesel with turbo charger (original). My daily driver. Leaving town so selling.

Engine is strong, and fast, cruises beautifully @80+ mph w regular drives to San Diego and back. Car runs well but has slow PS & oil leak. (I have new gaskets). Car will need attention by a handy person/mechanic to keep going another 200k.

Driver Seat Cover and stereo head unit NOT included – need to add your own.

I have HUGE box of expensive hard to find spare parts incl, spare oil pan, gaskets, filters, etc. Recently Replaced starter, battery, tires, brakes M/S, AC compressor, injectors, engine mounts, shocks, etc. Has tow hitch, keyless entry. Sad to sell as this is a tank and feel safe driving.

Car is not pristine as some rust starting on sunroof corner and rear trunk, and some age wear/tears on seats, but overall impressive. AC worked until condenser leaked, have NEW condenser in box for free as part of deal. And NEW in box backup radiator.
