The Corvettsterossa: 1985 Chevrolet Corvette

I was ready to hate this next car when it came through with a description as a “Corvette with a Testarossa body kit”…but I’m not so sure. The overall effect of the C4 front end with a Ferarrish rear isn’t as stomach turning as one would expect. I dare say that I sorta like it. Is this what they call Stockholm Syndrome? Find this 1985 Chevrolet Corvette C4 bidding for $12,600 in Valdosta, GA with a few hours to go via eBay. Tip from Rock On!

I’ve personally gone through this car mechanically to ensure it’s running and the way it should. (Car sat for 10+ yrs before I acquired it. True barn find)
Paint is not flawless, but has been wet sanded and polished to the level you see in the pictures.
A/C works, heat works. New digital gauge cluster. New steering wheel. Interior and dash are in good shape with no cracking on the dash whatsoever.
Car has the exterior door handles deleted SBC doors are opened using a remote.
Car needs tires (the tires on it have plenty of tread, but are old and vibrate badly over 45mph.
Headlights are currently non-functional. (Needs new headlight motors for both sides, however they are tough to find replacements for).

There’s not much that you can do that would actually hurt the looks of an ‘84 Corvette.
Putting a Ferrari logo on a pig is disgusting and should be illegal.
Intriguing and not without merit – plus anything that upsets the pinky-out Ferrari crowd is a bonus.
I can’t think of anything much more embarrassing than putting this much effort into this end product. Florida in the ’80’s?
I dont hate this nearly as much as I should.
Some of these faux-Ferraris (Vette, Fierro etc) aren’t subjectively ugly cars, but the second they start hanging dancing horse Ferrari logos on them they transform into objectively awful copies of the original. Anyone that is fooled into thinking that this is a Ferrari is not worth fooling.
