Phantom

Way back in 2004 (okay…it wasn’t that long ago…but just stay with me) if you had $320,000 burning a hole in your pocket you could have purchased a small condo in Florida…but you can’t go to the grocery store in a condo…but you can live in a car. But is a Rolls-Royce Rhantom just a car? And yes, you would have lost $300k in depreciation (we will ignore the maintenance and fuel costs) which is $413k in todays dollars, so for the past 16 years, you’ve lost in depreciation; $25k per year, $2,150 per month or $71 per day or $3 per hour or 5 cents per minute. And that’s not cost per minute of use, but cost 24/7. Seems like a small price to pay for the luxury and refinement of a Phantom…maybe?
