Style For Years: 2001 Audi TT 225 Roadster

The cars that become collector cars in the future aren’t always the fastest and most bodacious handling cars from the current era. Just look at all the ill-handling and slow Porsches, Mercedes-Benzes and Austin-Healeys that have become the darling of collectors — nobody cares if their 60s car is fast on a track, they want it to look good and make them feel like they are going fast. Therefore, in 30 years when people are collecting appreciating cars from the early 2000s, they might not care that the Audi TT shared a chassis with the Golf or that it only has a 1.8 liter turbo 4-cylinder engine, but they will appreciate the cool style and creature comforts from a bygone era. Find this 2001 Audi TT 225 Roadster offered for $9,500 in Neenah, WI via craigslist. Tip from Jeff.

The car is in good shape for a 20-year-old car. There are a few minor nicks and scratches here and there. The interior is clean with no tears or stains in the leather seats or carpet. The convertible top is in good shape with no leaks or tears, and the rear window still firmly bonded. 6 speed transmission shifts good and engine runs very strong.
No joy rides will be given. Either come with cash, or don’t expect to test drive it. Serious inquires only! I don’t have to sell this car, so no low balls. Don’t waste my time if you aren’t aware of what this car is, can do, has done to it, and want to make a deal.

The seller has made it very clear that he does not need or want to sell it, so why would anyone want to go there with cash in hand and drive it home?
