Strange Kit: 1965 Volkswagen Maxi Taxi

Based on the information available on dubious long abandoned myspace pages, we’ve determined that DeWayne Creighton, the creator of various Beetle-based kit cars in Bremen, Indiana, created the Maxi Taxi way back in the 1970s. The Beetle based kit was developed under his company, Bremen Composites or Bremen Sports Equipment, and not many were produced or remain on the road today. The Maxi Taxi is known for being one of the few fiberglass Beetle kits to feature opening (and hopefully closing) doors. Find this 1965 Volkswagen Maxi Taxi offered for $6,900 in Lake Oswego, CA via craigslist.
