Stock and Reasonable: 1989 Honda CRX
Pay attention 80s nostalgia junkies and compact car enthusiasts because this CRX is the cure for your midlife crisis, and it’s ready for the next owner to keep it clean and nice. Sure its an automatic and not the preferred Si model, but good luck finding another one of these bad boys in this condition – it’s like finding a needle in a haystack of Honda Civics. So, grab a box of Hot Tamales and a can of New Coke, because this thing is a serious trip down memory lane and somehow hasn’t be turned into a Fast and Furious street machine. Yet. Find this 1989 Honda CRX offered for $4,800 in Ludlow, MA via craigslist. Tip from Cory.

Very Rare and hard to find little piece of Honda History. 1.5 Liter Automatic transmission!! Car is a 1 owner All original with 130k original miles. I do have the original wheels that come with the car but if people want to cry and complain, I’ll keep these. BRAND NEW TIRES! Car has never been molested. Great for a possible restoration/ race car/ project.
I am not here to debate anything with anyone, They don’t make them anymore as well as good luck finding one that has not been molested. Please keep in mind it’s a 33 year old car, so it definitely has a few blemishes, But what do you expect!? Lucky the car is still alive! Im looking to speak with a serious buyer, If you are a Honda Guy then you know. If not, Please do your research. Not in a rush to sell,
Serious inquires only!

The 3 speed automatic in the ’84 Civic that got me through college sucked all the fun out of an otherwise genius car. Let’s hope the 4 speed automatic in this CRX is better suited for spirited driving.
Sometimes, when I can’t sleep, I search for CRXs, Preludes and Civics from the late 80s and early 90s just so I can marvel at the tragic “customizations” plastered on them. Seeing one that’s uncut is astonishing.
I think the slushbox would kill this thing too. Needs a clutch you to dump to have any fun.
Admittedly in nice condition, and I’m not here to debate with anyone, but the seller has quite the attitude for someone driving a slushbox. Much less a CRX slushbox.
