Sport Compact Classic: 1994 Honda Civic EX

Our next feature is an EG-generation Honda Civic coupe, the 1992 to 1995 Civic body style that became one of the defining compact tuner platforms of the 1990s. The EX was the next best thing compared to Si coupe trim: 5-speed manual, power equipment, sunroof, A/C, cruise control, and a cool VTEC single-cam engine. The engine should be the D16Z6, a 1.6-liter SOHC VTEC four-cylinder rated around 125 hp and 106 lb-ft when new. Not huge power, but light, revvy, simple, and very Honda. Find this 1994 Honda Civic EX offered for $4100 in Los Angeles, CA via craigslist.

My ’92 Civic hatchback is still one of my favorite cars I’ve ever owned. Wonderful manual transmission, low to the ground, impeccable quality. Just a terrifically fun car to own and drive.
$4100 yea this is old, almost classic at this point, but it has at least another 150k miles to go on it and $ per mile that’s hard to beat.
I believe these had a subtle front lip spoiler, and I can’t tell if it’s present here. It’s that subtle. Anyway, at this price it would have sold instantly in my area 10 years ago.
