Shiver Me Timbers: 1965 Mercury Marauder Parklane

It never fails. I post an awesome version of some oddball fun piece of American muscle like a Mercury Marauder X100 and start patting myself on the back, and what do you guys do? You find a better example of the same car (or a few years earlier in this case) for an equally good price and then I’ve got to post that one too. Just look at that grill!! How could I not post this? Find this 1965 Mercury Marauder Parklane offered for $15,000 in Redding, CA via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

Nice daily driver with new paint that cost me over 10k. As with any daily driver there is things that could use some tlc. It has a new rebuilt ford 9 inch rear end, the motor is a 390 with a 428 crank. It is a good cruiser floats down the road as these heavy cars tend to. It could use a new dash pad and arm rests but it has a new headliner and door panels that were put in a few years back. Front and back seat have brand new upholstery. Has a small amount of surface rust on the right rear quarter panel but nothing serious. It could use a new fuse box because these old ford’s can have a bad ground when they get aged, but otherwise doesn’t affect anything other than the blinker switch. Text or call and ask for Michael.

See another classic Mercury for cheap? Let’s make this a threepeat!! tips@dailyturismo.com
If only it had the breezeway option.
Left some frog tape on there. Front view is a winner. Paint is nice, but too shiny. Don’t like the steering wheel or chrome bits under the hood. Wheel / tire combo is too restomod.
Now get off my lawn… uses “no longer cool” laugh-cry emoji… drops mic.
Great car in lovely condition.
Seller wasted 10 grand on that color. Seriously?.
