Self-Harm Doors: 1983 Cadillac Seville

The thing on your computer screen (or 24% of you on a cell phone if you read DT on mobile) is a Cadillac Seville that has been pushed far beyond the factory’s already-weird bustleback styling. It’s got a chopped roof, rear-hinged back doors, shaved handles, sliding ragtop, satin-black paint, and a wild 383 stroker V8 build. Find this 1983 Cadillac Seville offered for $8000 in Denville, NJ via faceslab oddbook. Tip from Cory.

Now that violent and loud street ‘takeovers’ are a thing among the mentally-challenged youth, I’ve been wondering what sort of car I might adopt as my daily. Preferably one that says “I’m deranged” or maybe “I make really bad choices” or even “I worship Satan”. Something that makes the doughnuts-in-an-intersection crowd uncomfortable, the car version of a poison dart frog.
This hooptie would fit that niche nicely.
You need to have three friends in fedoras with you at all times for the complete bad choices/hipster/gangsta vibe.
The chop top looks a lot better than the original design – not that the bustle back Seville was a very high bar to begin with.
