SBC + T5 swapped: 1989 Volvo 245 Wagon

Another day, another rusty Volvo wagon on DT…yawn…oh hey, wake up. This isn’t just your typical redblock 4-cylinder Volvo powered dog, this dog has a Chevy V8 with a giant crazy looking intake that’s gotta be good for at least 10 horsepower. Find this 1989 Volvo 245 Wagon offered for $4000 in South Jersey, NJ via craigslist. Tip from Cory.

Purchased the car from the guy who did the swap in March of 2020, I think he did a nice job. Car starts every time, sounds great, and is a blast to drive. The paint looks ok but could really come back to life with some work. Price is pretty firm.

Snorkellopolis.
Oh if only this were in California and had some hope of being California legal.
Diesel swap it on the way to the DMV. It’s the only way to be sure.
Thank heavens this gorgeous beast is 1,737 miles away from my 21 year old son or I’d be adding it to my car insurance this afternoon. WILLIAM IF YOU ARE READING THIS DO NOT DRIVE TO NEW JERSEY.
I’d buy it for my daughter in Brooklyn but then she’d have to park it.
She just has to believe in herself, man.

Only $4k?! At that price I can pretend I don’t see the rust and just enjoy it until it crumbles. The best is the dual exhaust on both sides. Cheap fun.
