S2000 Power: 1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata

The Mazda MX-5 is lauded for its excellent handling chassis and essential sports car credentials, but nobody is going to accuse it of being too fast in stock form. But today’s example is far from stock — don’t worry it isn’t one of those V8 swaps that ruins the weight distribution and is instead powered by the 9000 rpm screaming beast from a Honda S2000.  Find this 1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata here on eBay offered for $6,950 buy-it-now or make-offer located in Miami, FL.

From the seller:

If you like speed and performance then this is a car you do want in your driveway.  This car has an engine swap in it and it makes 200hp in a very small and light body but the fact that it is not the factory engine means that it has modifications and modifications require more maintenance than a factory complete car.  Soooo if you like modern day reliability and ease of use then this is not a car you want in your driveway.

Please don’t be scared to bid, this was an engine swap performed by an ASE certified mechanic and was wired and inspected by a reputable S2000 performance shop so it works as it should and drives like a very fast Miata that is lighter in weight than a factory Miata or a v8 swapped Miata so bid with confidence and once again only bid if you want to follow through with purchasing the car.  Thank you in advance for viewing this listing……

1994 Mazda Miata M edition with S2000 motor and 6 speed transmission swap.

ready to race this one is fast and fun to drive

Runs excellent and is built for speed and drifting but holds the road exceptionally well.

Early S2000 motor, 6 speed transmission, computer, and instrument cluster, revs to 9000 rpms

4 wheel disc brakes, front slotted and vented, new brake pads

Drift emergency brake with lock button

4 corner adjustable suspension, could use tighter springs in the rear as the power can sink the rear a bit when heavy acceleration happens

Flowmaster exhaust and 2.5″ exhaust tube throughout, creates very throaty, visceral tone

16″ x 9″/10″ staggered Avis racing wheels with new tires

Rear differential is welded to give full time posi traction

No air conditioning whatsoever

Newer convertible top, no tears

Roll bar in rear only

Front air dam lip

There is a paint scuff in the front fascia about 4″ round, a scuff on the passenger door, and a 2″ cut in the rear bumper fascia, otherwise paint is new in front clip and good all around.
