Red Beast: 1960 Volvo 544
I’m not a big fan of paying a premium price for any car…but there are times when the last owner has put so much time & money into a hunk of rolling steel that it might be a good idea to pay a few more bucks than usual. Like this 1960 Volvo 544 offered for $12,000 in Lake Havasu City, AZ via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

1960 Volvo PV 544 in Coca Cola Red. A great deal of money was invested in this one of a kind driver / show car.
The interior is black felt-like cloth and vinyl with bright red piping and stitching.
The dash pad is custom and matches the seats.
The dash is redesigned with modern gauges set in Alder-wood and in dash mounted air vents.
The power train has less than 1,019 miles and is all Volvo with a many upgrades. The engine is a Highly Modified B20 crate engine coupled to a Volvo M41 Four Speed Transmission and drives a PV544 Rear End. This Volvo is Fast!
This car is an absolute blast to drive at any speed. Around town it is easy to drive at city speed limits. On the highway the Modified B20 Engine really comes to life with performance and sound produced the 12″ Glass-Pac exhaust. At 65 mph no down shift needed to pass a car on a 2 lane highway. Mash the gas to the floor and the dual 38 Weber Carburetor responds instantly to accelerate to over 90 mph while passing a car. I do not know what the top speed is at this time, but, there is no doubt in my mind that this car is capable of pulling 6,900 rpm in 4th gear.
No Brokers. Spammers Need Not Bother this is a Cash In Person Sale Only.
It is so freaking fast the the Weber element is doing the tower of Pisa….!
