Racecar Roller: 1965 Ford Cortina

This next car comes as a tip from Erik202 who writes; I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out a way to own this. It was posted about a year ago and sat there for quite some time before the ad was taken down. Now it’s back up and I’m devoting way too much time to thinking about it. I seem to recall the previous posting mentioning that it didn’t have a vin or that you are not able to register it for some reason so it is strictly a race car…Obviously I needed something else to make me want this thing even more and I came across a lotus twin cam engine with transmission listed locally. Find this 1965 Ford Cortina offered for $6,000 in Squamish, BC, Canada.

The differences between my Mom’s Mk 1 Cortina we grew up in & the Lotus version is going to take a lot more than just Chapman’s TC to achieve. Lots of $ later & it’s still not the genuine article.
This thing scares me a little, I’d slap a 1,600cc Kent in there to avoid going completely upside down.
I find the dash a little too cluttered but maybe that’s just me. I would have gone with three toggle switches and one button.
