Pre-AI Nightmare: 1967 Dodge WTF

This next car is a good example of something that looks like it was AI generated…but it is, unfortunately, real. So, let’s have a competition to see who can come up with the ChatGPT prompt could generate this thing. Such as “Hey Siri, show me a car that was designed by an 11 year old and built by a 9 year old with a $200 budget plus unlimited Home Depot supplies.” Find this 1967 Dodge WTF offered for $3000 in Hesperia, CA via facebonk dodgebook.

No joke. This was the AI rendition. SHOCKINGLY close.

See a better way to drive something strange? tips@dailyturismo.com

OK, I’ve got questions…
1. What is the fez above the steering wheel for? Emergency fast food stash?
2. Why the skewed shifter? So the driver can manspread?
3. Why the rear window louvers? Aerodynamics? So no one can see into (or out of) the car?
I’m sure if I spent more than 30 seconds with this beast, I’d have a few more questions (like, what was the motivation to create something like this?!?)

“Did a little bit a trade work and car was a part of the deal.”
The current owner got screwed unless the other part of the deal was a duffle bag of cash. Hopefully that was a VERY little bit of trade work… something like spraying WD-40 on squeaky door hinges or tapping in nails on a fence that had come loose. Anything more and the deal was lopsided.
The current owner is also looking for trades. I have about a dozen McDonald’s “fancy ketchup” packets in a kitchen drawer that I’d be willing to trade. That’s my best and final offer.
Definitely not a Dodge engine. With the HEI front mount distributor, equally spaced exhaust ports, and wide gap between the valve covers and manifolds, I’m guessing a Cadillac motor of some sort.
Can you imagine pulling up to your blind date’s house in this monstrosity?
Oddly, that was my exact first thought upon looking at this eyesore.
If she’s still into you, she’s a winner.
Actually, I’m going to say the opposite. If she’s still into you, she’s got something seriously wrong with her.
