Panoramic Decapitation..Whoa? 1964 Autobianchi Bianchina Panoramica Decappottabile
In the world of “cute” cars there aren’t many cars that can challenge the original Mini for being both adorable and functional in a variety of styles…but the original Fiat 500 comes close and it was available in a number of configurations, like this Panoramica Decappottabile…which I don’t think was a real factory designation but sounds cool. Find this 1964 Autobianchi Bianchini Panoramica Decappottabile offered for $7000 in Sausalito, CA via craigslist.

Well DT, you are batting 1000 on things that my micro-car-partial eyes find interesting, and attractive. I love the way they used the rearmost pillars as engine cooling towers. Clever and stylish. And I am a fan of small wagons (although not usually THIS small…) so this one gets bonus points.
Basically a miniature Volkswagen Squareback. I love this. Price is good and it's nearby. Wish I had the space to bring this home. Yeah, no space for even something this tiny. Bummer.
A decapotable (be headable) is the French convertible. The roll back (sardine can a la 2cv) was called a decouvrable (uncoverable) – I believe this very cool mini wagon is only but a sun roof which in Italian I believ is a tetto apribile 🙂
