Only One In Town: 1967 Volkswagen Vokaro Kit Car
The first time I saw a picture of a Volkaro kit was a few days ago on Oddimotive where VW based car was listed as a home-built custom, but somebody on reddit pointed out that it was Vokaro. Imagine my surprise when another of these oddities appeared on eBay. Find this 1967 Volkswagen Vokaro Kit Car here on eBay bidding for $3,550 reserve-not-met with 3 days to go, located in Lake Oswego, OR.
Information about Vokaro on the web is spotty (at best), but I did find a site that claims to have a number of 2-page pieces of original sales literature that you can buy. It would be nice to see more info on the Vokaro without dropping $50 on some old pieces of newsprint…but it is nice to see there are a few things that a 5 second search of the internet still can’t solve.
This Vokaro looks in really good shape, the seller (a small dealer in Oregon) claims the car was recovered from a barn and restored a few months ago. Equipped with a 1600 cc aircooled flat-4 it seems like the perfect car for a beach trip.

If you know V dubs, it's pretty easy to make sure everything is in order and won't go flying off into the 4th dimension on a hard turn.

This car was on BAT a couple weeks ago where it didn't meet it's $5000 reserve.
Now it's at $5100 on ebay with the same seller and hasn't met reserve.
