Needs Some Work: 2006 BMW 530xi

I’ve seen a lot of random photos of cars in advertisements, but this is a first. “Fuel pump died while I was evacuating the fires” and here is a photo of my car being pushed on the news. Wow. Not a strong endorsement of your “ride”. Yes, the wagon is offered for a shockingly low price, but don’t count on it for emergency evacuations. Find this 2006 BMW 530xi offered for $1000 in Santa Monica, CA via pumpbook marketpush.

Seller’s description
Fuel pump died while I was evacuating the fires. Car has many new parts, tires, front struts, tie rod bushings, radiator, alternator and battery. Minor body work needed, no accidents, clean title, no alarms/notifications…wife wants it gone. Car can be towed from my mechanics shop on Pico near Stuart. Must be gone by Friday 1/31. Update 1/29- lots of questions about the fuel pump. It needs a pump AND a pump module, estimated cost for parts is $1500

Sold already, but not to me.
I was going to call the shop, have them fix it and pick it up.
Oh well.
Santa Monica version of “needs body work” is pretty clean.
Maybe there are eight hand-sized dents on the rear from helpful strangers trying to get this turd moving. If it had been mine, I think I would have requested they push it towards the fire and left it to burn.
