Mom Car: 1972 Plymouth Valiant Sedan

This next car comes from Doug who writes: Looks like a nice easy project if someone wanted to take this car to the next level. It’s surprisingly handsome for a boxy ‘mom car’ from 72. Not a fancy interior but with a 318 it should have plenty of get up and go. The rallye wheels really set it apart from the rather boring original wheels. Working AC, good looks and only 3000 bucks with only 70k on it. Looks like a very reasonably priced deal to me.  We couldn’t agree more! Find this 1972 Plymouth Valiant Sedan offered for $3000 in Phoenix, AZ via craigslist.

$3000 firm. 1972 Plymouth Valiant. 318-2v V8. 904 automatic. 7.25 rear end. 70k original miles. WORKING 134a A/C, new compressor and drier, Kelsey Hayes 4-piston front disc manual brakes(OEM from 71 Dart), new master cylinder, power steering, Rallye wheels with new BFG tires, polyurethane front bushings, alignment, brand new carpet, bucket seats, all gauges and windows work, glass is all good, single Flowmaster muffler, new trunk lock and keys. Fender tag still in place and comes with build sheet. Really fun to drive. If you get Hagerty insurance, it’s dirt cheap and requires NO EMISSIONS, although it was checked a year ago and passed.

Minimal rust in passenger front fender behind wheel, and some cracked body filler near c-pillar and rear of trunk lid near lock. See pictures. Also leaks like a Mopar the longer it sits, so she’s meant to be driven.
