Great cars indeed, and for as small as they are, safer than it looks. My ex's sister was in a very bad accident in one and was practically unscathed. The outside of the car looked practically unrecognizable, while the interior looked hardly tweaked. I'll never forget that image….
Reminded me of the video where they crash a 1959 Bel Air against an 2009 Malibu, and we all know how that comes out. But the search result also came up with a more recent test comparing 1998 and 2015 Corollas, and that one was actually pretty startling.
