Manual Gearbox: 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
The fifth generation Cutlass Supreme was available with a number of interesting configurations, like the wacky Salon fastback, or the sporty Hurst/Olds W-30 package, but today’s example is just a simple V8 with a 5-speed manual gearbox..because sometimes simple is best. Find this 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme offered for $2,000 (CAD) in Surrey, BC, Canada via craigslist.
The 305 cubic inch Chevy small block V8 isn’t going to offer much forward thrust (130 horsepower IIRC), but it does provide a decent amount of torque (245 ft-lbs). At least this one has a 5-speed manual gearbox, so you could push up the power and have some fun.

I can't believe I'm saying this but with the 5-speed conversion it's kind of interesting. It appears that the shifter is awfully close to the seat, so I would need to drive it and check out the ergonomics — and also get it up on a rack and carefully inspected — but it could be fun.
Put some Cragar SS's on it, paint it Candy Apple Red, change the steering wheel and maybe find some bucket seats then crank up the Zeppelin and re-live high school!
