Leepu & Pitbull Custom: 1991 Chevrolet Caprice

You guys are familiar with the show Leepu and Pitbull, right? No, it’s not a Bollywood detective show, but a History channel reality car building show starring Bangladeshi tuk-tuk car designer Leepu Awila and (likely ex-Mafiosi) Steve “Pitbull” Trimboli. You’d think that I’m making this up…but I’m 100% not and this next car was the featured build on episode 8 of season 1. The show is a veritable dumpster fire of muttonchops and eagle beak front ends. AND I LOVE IT!! HOW WAS THIS CANCELED AFTER ONLY ONE SEASON?? History should have canned all of those stupid American Chopper wannabe shows and run Leepu & Pitbull marathon 24-7! Screw the Velocity Channel, I want the Leepu & Pitbull channel. Find this 1991 Chevrolet Caprice bidding for $3649 reserve-not-met with 2 days go, located in North Chemlsford, MA.

From the seller:
New 350 motor, Holley fuel injection, rebuilt 700r4 trans!
TV CAR! Over $13K spent on the 1965 Impala converstion. Customized on Leepu & P1tbull on the Discovery channel in 2015. Here’s the link to the episode: https://youtu.be/ZswND7pVb6w
This is a 1991 Caprice Wagon that has been customized on TV Show in August of 2015 with 1965 Impala parts. The parts used were the grill, hood, quarters, taillights, and bumpers. They installed a new Jegs 350 with a Holley TPI Unit (StealthRam Multi Point Injection) and a Freddy Brown 700R4 trans. I have put less than 4k miles on the car since it was done. Front and back seats reupholstered, new headliner, shocks, battery, power steering pump, wheels (black ralleys) and tires, water pump. Just spent over $2k rewiring the tailgate, and tuning up with plugs, wires, etc. Runs Super strong and Drives like a dream. At 80 MPH on the hiway, you feel like you are cruising in a Caddy! Paint has a few small flaws, but in excellent overall condition.

A hot rod with fuel injection, power steering, seat belts and power windows! Need to sell! Custom Vehicle Title in hand, VIN # NY72464. I can help get the car loaded on your trailer or flatbed.

Oh , much better than I would expect – taillights WTF ?
I don’t even think that’s vehicle code compliant in most states where the taillights need to be visa le when the gate is open.
Ditch the tail lights and put an el Camino bumper on it.
Did you read the background on Leepu? He started building custom “supercars” from a garage in his home country without any training and just a poster of the car as a reference. Amazing success story and I like this car more that I’d like to admit…but the tail lights are a tragedy. I’d have preferred the C4 Corvette bumper light look you seen in some Chevy pickups.
