Last of the Round Styled: 1999 Toyota Celica GT
I’ve always been a fan of the 6th generation T200 Toyota Celica…particularly in the liftback style — it combines decent sportiness (for a 90s Japanese economy car) with everyday practicality (hatchback!) and not-to-hideous styling. In fact, I quite like the aesthetics of the liftback, it sorta looks like a 7/8ths scale 3rd gen Toyota Supra. Find this 1999 Toyota Celica GT offered for $4800 in San Mateo, CA via craigslist.
From the seller:
I AM SELLING THE CLEANEST TOYOTA CELICA GT IN THE BAY AREA! THIS BABY IS IMMACULATE! EVERTHING WORKS PERFECTLY AND IT DRIVES LIKE IT HAS NO MILES ON IT! I AM NOT EXAGGERATING. WHEN YOU SEE THIS CAR IN PERSON YOU WILL BE IMPRESSED. THIS IS THE CLASSIC CELICA GT HATCHBACK WITH THE SUPER EASY 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND LOADED WITH EVERY OPTION AVAILABLE! HUGE AMOUNT OF ROOM WITH THE SEAT FOLDED DOWN. THIS CAR HAS 4 WHEEL ABS DISC BRAKES AND GETS GREAT GAS MILEAGE. PERFECT FIRST CAR OR COMMUTER MILE EATER. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER, TOO!
THE CAR IS ALL ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR A UNRECOGNIZABLE REPAIR TO THE RIGHT FRONT FENDER FROM A PARKING LOT INCIDENT THAT THE DEALER/BODY SHOP ESTIMATED SO HIGH THE INSURANCE COMPANY WANTED TO TAKE IT AWAY AS A TOTAL. NO WAY. UNFORTUNATELY, BECAUSE THE CAR IS OLDER, A REBUILT TITLE WAS ISSUED BECAUSE THE OWNER REFUSED TO LET THE CAR GO FOR SUCH A MINOR REPAIR. WHEN YOU SEE AND DRIVE THIS CAR YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY SHE WANTED TO KEEP THE CAR. ITS A BEAUTY INSIDE AND OUT.
THIS 1999 TOYOTA CELICA GT TCOMES WITH 4CYL, 5SPEED, PWR MOONROOF, LEATHER SEATS, PWR WINDOWS, LOCKS, TILT WHEEL, CRUISE CONTROL, CD/CASSETTE, STEREO WITH POWER ANTENNA, REMOTE WITH ALARM, 2 SETS OF KEYS, CHROME WHEELS W/NEW TIRES, FOG LIGHTS, REAR SPOILER, ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL AND WINDOW STICKER, AND MUCH MORE!
JUST REPLACED ENGINE MOUNT AND TRANSMISSION MOUNT, PERFECTLY MAINTAINED AND JUST SMOGGED!!

For those of you that like to buy and sell cars, clean low milage Japanese cars may be the next thing to look at.
