Hard to Tell: 1988 BMW 325i Convertible

This next car comes as a tip from Art C who writes:  Hard to tell if its a diamond in the rough or a poorly polished turd. If it’s even somewhat sorted seems to be a great buy!  That just about describes EVERY car I find on craigslist these days…but I digress. Find this 1988 BMW 325i Convertible offered for $3,500 in Rhode Island via craigslist.

From the seller:

1988 BMW 325i

condition: good

cylinders: 6 cylinders

drive: rwd

fuel: gas

paint color: red

title status: clean

transmission: manual

type: convertible

Car is a 1988 325i vert powered by a m52 from a 98 328is. The mileage on the engine is unknown but the car runs and drives fine. This E30 is RUST FREE. The steering rack has also been upgraded to an e36 rack and the trunk is from an IS to remove the ugly 3rd brake light(I have an extra one nicer than the one in the pic matching color). Wheels will not be sold separately neither with any of my extra parts such as a set of door cards, sport seats, and a set of H&R springs. The top is black and in great shape but it should never be up. Feel free to hit me with some offers no rush to sell if I can’t get a reasonable price. Passenger side has some faded paint issues, rear bumper is broken, and it needs an alignment.
