G-body whatchamacallit : 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass
The auction ended just as the article was started. This car had to be seen by the DT faithful so here is a healthy dose of some crazy body work. There might be a years worth of What Am I? columns found in this one car. Find this 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass custom for sale in Nashua, NH for $18,595 via eBay.
This 1983 Olds sports what can only be speculated as a Grand National engine. No specific details were given on the engine or transmission. A intercooler can be seen within the asymmetric vents in the grill nose.
The entire rear of the car looks like it was grafted off a 1993-1996 Cadillac Fleetwood.
Check out those custom side mirrors! Could the top be chopped here? There aren’t any interior pictures shown, but you can see the gauge cluster is definitely not factory from watching the video clip below.

I think there is a lot of car here for the money assuming upgraded suspension and brakes to match performance with the turbo engine. Sadly it is a hodge-podge of styling with round, diamond, square…..bits that really don't work well together. I'll bet its heavy with bondo.
DonS beat me to it….lol
Looks like the perfect car for a remake of "The Car."
Literally took the words outta my mouth…
Overall it has a nice shape to it but as DonS said, a lot of the details don't match and kind of ruin the look.
Regardless of how hideous this thing is, ya gotta give some props to the guy for the amount of work this took. They say there's a buyer for everything, but what a nightmare to try and sell. At least he's got (what looks to be) a solid power plant choice going for it……

Is that what the race organizer drove in DEATHCAR2000?
I think a change of color and grill would go a long way for this car.
Here's a word question you're likely to see on a DT SAT Test, so be ready:
You drive your '83 Cutlass into the only remaining high school that still offers auto-shop and tell the kids to have at it. Their teacher reaches behind his desk and pulls out a dusty copy of "Corvette Summer" and the kids know what to do. $1,000 worth of bondo and a semester later, they call you to let you know your car is ready.
How many gallons of bondo are hiding under that blue paint?
