The car has been repainted its original color about 4-5 years ago and hasn’t been on the road since.

I have personally achieved 50mpg in this car when I first bought it.
The car is not perfect… it does require some minor reassembly work that I never completed post-painting… reassembling the interior plastic panels, and stuff like that.
My only reason for selling it is because I have too many CRX’s and not enough time due to family duties to take care of all my cars.

The fast n furious bois of the early aughts sought these out as they were the lightest CR-X you could build, thus the most sober car in Honda’s lineup found itself hunted to extinction like the dodo.
Sometimes when I can’t sleep I look for them on Craigslist and Faceballs just so I can marvel at what I find: parked under fraying tarps with purple interiors, body kits held on with self tapping screws, slammed on leaky Ebay coilovers and missing door panels or entirely missing upholstery – the auto equivalent of a cheap clown costume.
As much as I like going fast, I’d happily rock this dodo for long thrifty road trips. A KQED or Kucinich sticker would really tie this one together.
Asking $6,000 for this…? Sheez…….
