Ferrari F40 Replicar: 1985 Pontiac Fiero

Did you ever see a replica kit car and thought, hey, this looks pretty good if it was one of those 25-cent amusement park rides in front of a grocery store? Because that is precisely what I said to my inner self when I discovered this next Chevy 305-powered Fierrari thing. Find this 1985 Pontiac Fiero offered for $6,400 in Columbia Falls, MT via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Ferrari f40 replica based on an 84 fiero with chevy 305 v8 swap. 5spd manual, runs and drives, will need cv axels soon. Has brand new toyo extensa xp II, 315/35-17s. Love this car, really hate to see it go, but I’m moving and can’t take it with me. Bit of a project, it comes with a nice edelbrock carb and intake manifold that I didn’t have a chance to put on, current one doesn’t have the best choke and idle. Also comes with nice valve covers. Could also possibly use an air dam underneath or a larger fan. Possible trades? Clean title

If you’re going to the trouble of swapping in a V8, why on earth would you pick a 305? Unless they did the conversion around 1990 and needed to stay emissions legal.
Emissions legal in Montana 🙂
Fiero has space and compatibility with a front wheel drive transmission issues to keep in mind.
Seems correct for the build. I would love to show up with this to some drives and events for fun. 6500 is probably less than F40 lug nuts cost.
I finally read the ad. So it doesn’t start or idle well, overheats and the rear axles are shot. Perfect!
