Electric Lizzie: 2022 Electric Ford Model T Golf Cart

Ford’s original Model T wasn’t exactly a speed demon. But with 22 horsepower from a 177 cubic inch inline-4, it could go 42 mph with enough flat road. Fast forward 100 years you can’t buy a Model T for $900, but you can get an electric Model T from China via the sketchy ecommerce site alibaba for less than the same amount of money considering inflation. Find this 2022 Electric Ford Model T Golf Cart offered for $6,999 in China via alibaba.

Overall proportions are a big weird (kinda like those Caddy and Lambo golf carts).
But I gotta say… this would be a really fun ride around a golf course community. Also a cool excuse to use those new solar panels up on the roof…
-Stan (who doesn’t play golf… because it always just seemed like billiards on a really, REALLY big table to me…)
Alibaba missing the boat on marketing this one. Need to sell to the steampunk kids, not the fifty or so nonagenarians left in The Villages who remember the T. “Seems” safer than the mini moke just by virtue of visibility and height.
I’d like a replica Baker Electric coupe. Great looking, with good visibility and weather protection.
The Chinese are making some interesting VW type 2 electric replicas that you can import as self-propelled food vending things.
on that steampunk idea… this E-car could plausibly be set up to troll the younger generation (my 60 something self included) by having the same pedal arrangement as a _gen-u-wine_ T. Left one for High/Low range, Middle for Reverse and Rightmost for Brake. imagine the chaos.
