It’s basically a 21 year old stunningly well preserved example of a car that tragically nobody seems to give a second thought to. Think about it, even the ‘orrible ‘ol Jeremy Clarkson gave it a rave review, scored by The Clash and The Jam no less. What’s not to love? I honestly don’t understand how this car fell into obscurity upon release and feel compelled to defend it. Bonus points: it’s a stick! This must’ve been one of the last cars sold without a garnish cover hiding the engine. Then again, who’d want to cover such a nicely sculpted intake manifold?
I’ll belabor the point: if I didn’t already have a lovely Abarth as my daily I’d talk this seller down 10% and park this Cougar in my driveway.
