Derelict or Delicious? 1977 Chevrolet Camaro

Prices for the 2nd generation Chevrolet Camaro (1970-1981) have been all over the place in the past few years, probably as the wheat gets sorted from the chaff. Is this next one a sheep or a goat…I’m not sure, but I am sure that it has a newer Vortec small block V8 put in place of the original small block (or it could have come with a 250 inline-6) but it is fed with a carburetor instead of fuel injection. Find this 1977 Chevrolet Camaro offered for $4,200 in Chico, CA via craigslist.

Automatic TH350 Transmission
Rebuilt and freshly Tuned up healthy Chevy Vortec 350 V8 with a Carburetor conversion on it to fit the old-school style.
Runs, drives, and shifts well. Definitely needs TLC and had some trunk and undercarriage rust but frame is solid.
Clean title, 122k miles.
Tags are outdated as it sat for awhile but there’s no DMV fees.
Bought as a project but have been diagnosed with kidney failure so I can no longer take on restoring this beauty. My loss is your gain.

Sketchy Thursdays on DT!
This looks like a fun sort of sketchy, though – the sort of car where you don’t have to worry about keeping it in great cosmetic shape or all original, and also suggests you don’t have to worry about society’s rules either.
