Cummins 6BT Diesel: 1972 Ford Torino Wagon

In Episode 2 of Season 9, the guys at Roadkill take a Ford Torino Wagon that is powered by a gigantic Cummins 6BT inline-6 under the hood… well… actually, it doesn’t have a hood. Anyway, the guys at Roadkill didn’t build it, but they did drag race it against another Cummins swapped classic American body-on-frame thing. You can find the episode on streaming on the Motortrend App, or you can watch this low-res bootleg version before it gets taken down. Anyway, that same Torino is now offered with the Cummins diesel and offered for sale. Find this 1972 Ford Torino Wagon offered for $9000 in La Habra, CA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

This Torino was built by the Roadkill show guys, it has a built up 6BT, 727 trans and tons of high end parts. She runs great and I have the title in hand. Feel free to call me with any questions. Great car to mod or put the engine in a Ram, Silverado or Ford Super Duty.

See a better way to drive something ridiculous? tips@dailyturismo.com
RHD Torino, Galaxie, etc?? Video is fupped duck. And only 300hp for all that hoo-ha in the Torino, compared to 700+ in the Volvo this week. Concur, ridiculous.
Diesels aren’t known for big horsepower. It’s all about massive torque, but have to agree that this is a pretty lame effort.
I’d take the Volvo over this any day. I always thought the idea of a proper ‘sleeper’ was to actually have it look stock, or stock-like. nobody’s foolin’ nobody as to where this goes…
Well, my mother likes it and she’s never wrong, so there.
