Classic Compact: 1967 Dodge Dart

The fourth generation of the Dodge Dart (and the Plymouth Valiant sister model) was released for the 1967 model year and it was delicious. The Dart was the compact offering in Dodge’s stable, which meant it was competing with Ford’s Falcon and Chevy’s Nova. It wasn’t a bad car, and I think they make a great classic for the budget driver today. Find this 1967 Dodge Dart bidding for $10,800 with less than one day to go, located in Sheldon, IA via ebay.

From the seller:

PRISTINE,ALL ORIGINAL 1967 DODGE DART GT-273 V8, 2 DOOR HARDTOP. 98,365 ORIGINAL MILES. VIN NUMBER LH23D75123939.

This beautiful vehicle was purchased new on December 2, 1966 in Glendale, California. The gentleman who bought/owned the car passed shortly after purchase. His wife did not drive and therefore sold the car to me. It had only 4,478miles. I purchased it for my (single) sister in El Segundo, California. She drove this vehicle until 1989 at which time I purchased her a newer vehicle and she “gifted ”this jewel to me for having helped her with the maintenance for so many years. Sooo, this car was “truly” owned by the “little old lady” from El Segundo—NOT Pasadena.

This car has automatic transmission, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes and original Am Radio that works perfectly. EVERYTHING inside and out is original equipment. The seats, backrests, door panels, kick panels, carpeting, headliner, floor mats, rear window shelf, handles, knobs, and arm rests are all original/perfect. Glass has no cracks or breakage. Speedometer/mileage works as it should. All light/signals work as should. Windows roll up and down as they should. Dash is perfect with no cracks or fading. The outside of the vehicle is straight and it has never been in an accident. There is no rust. There is no fading on the top, hood or trunk. Always garaged. Chrome slightly pitted but in great condition. Trunk, doors and hood open and lock as they should.

The few minor blemishes on the vehicle are included included in the pictures and are as follows: The molding around the windshield needs replaced. The molding around the driver’s side rear(hardtop)window needs replaced. There is a dime sized bare spot on the rear drivers side fender. There is a 8” scratch on the passenger rear ¼ panel. Gas gauge does not work. Air conditioner does not work (Freon)? Small area on the passenger sun visor stitching has came loose.

The engine runs perfectly and uses no oil. The transmission shifts perfectly. The heads have never been off the car. I have the original keys, owners manual, purchase records, California license plates AND repair records of car from day the car was purchased. NO SURPRISES….

THIS CAR IS A FANTASTIC “TREASURE”. YOU WILL “NEVER” FIND A NICER “ORIGINAL” UNRESTORED 55 YEAR OLD VEHICLE. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO DRIVE IT ANYWHERE IN THE USA. JUST FILL THE TANK AND TAKE OFF. YOU JUST HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A COMPLETE AND ACCURATE DESCRIPTION OF THIS PRISTINE DART—THE GOOD AND THE FEW MINOR DEFECTS—IN THE PICTURES THAT I AM POSTING. IF YOU NEED AN ADDITIONAL PICTURE OR A QUESTION ANSWERED, LET ME KNOW.
