Classic 80s Box: 1983 Toyota Celica GTS
Hey, do you remember when Toyota built cool affordable rear-drive sports coupes? Yeah, and do you remember when they weren’t obscenely overpriced due to the Fast & Furious crowd having jobs now? Yeah. Not talking about a Supra. I’m talking about this 1983 Toyota Celica GTS offered for $3,800 in Seattle, WA via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.
From the seller:
1983 1983 Toyota Celica GTS
cylinders: 4 cylinders
drive: rwd
fuel: gas
odometer: 187000
title status: clean
transmission: manual
1983 Toyota Celica GTS in good condition. Fresh rebuild on 22RE engine. I bought this a few weeks back as a sort of daily driver/project but I’ve got a few too many projects already. This is 90 percent there, as far as a daily. Photos are from the original ad when I bought it, but I’ve put less than 100 miles on it since then. Engine is solid. A bit of a rough idle when cold, but can be easily sorted. Body has some dings, but no rust. New tires. Electrical is all good. I’m going backwards at $3800, so I’m firm on price. I’m not going to answer a ton of questions over email. I will take no offers over email. Come check it out if you’re interested. Please include a phone number with any enquiries.

As long ago as this year.
It's called the Toyota 86.
I thought Subaru built those 🙂
Man, did I love these Celica's, especially the notchback. Good looking car.
Japanese Mustang.
