Classic 2 Seater: 1971 Nissan 240Z

The first generation Datsun 240Z is one of the great Japanese sports cars: long hood, short deck, straight-six power, rear-wheel drive, independent suspension, and styling that made European GTs look expensive and fragile. These have gotten expensive in the past decade, but today’s example doesn’t look that bad for the asking price. Find this 1971 Datsun 240Z offered for $12,000 in Escondido, CA via craigslist.

I have a 240z in good shape for sale. Clean Washington title. Body is straight. Tires are old. Car has been in storage for years.
Car has Recaro seats, not sure if they are original.
I drained all the fuel and started right up. Runs and drives fine.
Motor is stock

What are the chances that the “clean WA” title is actually in the seller’s name and not just signed by some previous PO?
gotta love that high tech E-brake they made sure it was in the picture so you know the other one doesn’t work
I’m not considering any old Datsuns unless I’m armed with a magnet and a paint thickness gauge widget.
There are a lot of things that are sort of off. The front bumper, the missing vents on the rear. Are you sure this isn’t just some cheap body kit on a 250 GTO?
