Bulgari Vette: 2005 Cadillac XLR

Since 1953 the Corvette has stood alone. Most models/platforms developed by GM have been re-badged and reskinned over the year as various Buick / Oldsmobile / Pontiac / Chevrolet models…but not the Corvette. The Vette stands alone on something that was occasionally called the Y-platform (front-engine rear-mounted transaxle mounted in a hydroformed perimeter frame with composite bodywork) …or at least it did until 2004 when the Cadillac XLR was launched to share some of that Corvette magic with GM’s luxury brand. The XLR added a power retractable hardtop, Bulgari-designed interior instruments, adaptive suspension, and Caddy’s Northstar V8 to the buffet of Corvette performance. If you don’t mind driving an automatic transmission, this isn’t a bad way to get into something wicked fast. Think of it like a Corvette that went to finishing school. Selling my Cadillac XLR truly a beautiful car. Low miles with only 105 thousand miles. No leaks, drips, or stains it leaves on the driveway or in the engine bay. I am the 2nd owner inherited from my mother n law. The car has its scratches and dings but there is no check engine light or codes of any sort . Clean california title in hand. The only issue with the car is that when going on speed bumps, the back wheels will slightly scrape against the little plastic covering near the fenders, Zero engine maintenance needed. Brand new oil, battery Spark plug front shocks etc. Please contact me if you have any questions Carfax included with purchase

Has anybody solved the issue of the taillights being unobtanium?
There was a red one of these (best color IMHO) that had a manual swap somewhere in the mid-west.
taillights- could they be 3-d printed? seems like that could be a growth market for the go-into-business-for-yourself operation. replacing the old saw sharpening rig retailers and similar back of popular mechanix ads from the 60s& 70s
I dig these. I considered one of these, but it was the Supercharged XLR-V. Great cars, but yeah, the tail light issue is nuts.
