Born In Italy: 1992 Cadillac Allanté
Italian week continues over here on Daily Turismo, with yet another Valentine’s Day themed post…because the car with a Cadillac crest and an accent over the final e…was assembled in Detroit, but the body was coachbuilt in Italy by Pininfarina. Find this 1992 Cadillac Allanté offered for $4,500 somewhere near Columbus, OH via craigslist. Tip from Davery.

White exterior with maroon leather interior. 4.5 V8 with 98k miles. Mostly southern car with no rust. The top does work on the car and is an awesome cruiser. Arguably the best year for Allante’…second to last year and the last year with a 4.5 V8. These cars were built by Pininfarina in Italy and flow back to Detroit on special 747s for final delivery. Very cool beginner classic car for not a lot a money. Just had a regular service and was professionally cleaned. Best offer takes it…low balls won’t be acknowledged.

I wonder if Pininfarina really designed the body of the car or GM simply wrote a check to borrow his name because I find the lines of the Allanté bland to say the least.
Looks like New Albany and if so then this car was probably driven little and well cared for, people there have money and probably paid people to do everything to the car.
I always liked the look of these with the exception of the grill and headlights. It feels like they could have done something more interesting.
Way better than CD rates today. How can one loose? Sweet find.
I mean, heck, how can your wife even so 'NO?' (OK, spouse)
the exterior is ok, but that interior is hideous
