Blister In The Sun: 1985 Peugeot 505S Wagon

This next car comes as a tip from Johnny Bouncewell who writes: This state is full of strange old cars that don’t rust away but instead get fried by the sun. This one would take a serious Francophile to restore but hey, how many French five door wagons are still out there with the proper gearbox? Find this 1985 Peugeot 505S Wagon offered for $2,000 in Los Lunas, NM via craigslist.

From the seller:

Anew low, even for you.
That’ll buff right out. Whats the problem?
A lick of paint, swipe of armorall and some new seat covers, you’d wind up with this – pretty nice – https://uploads.carandclassic.co.uk/uploads/cars/peugeot/4504362.jpg
French toast?
That’s some authentic patina there.

This link is one of the funniest things I’ve read in a long time (Fact check: Accurate). Just when I thought I couldn’t get any more joy out of this movie scene, BAM! there it is. “Barbara from Shark Tank has made millions of dollars selling real estate, for example.”
This one speaks to me… in dirty, dirty French. Je suis à l’écoute, belle.
