Blast From The Past: 1996 Ford F-150 XLT

Driving a new pickup truck in 2023 is a strange experience. They drive like cars, handle flat, accelerate quickly and there is almost no downside to getting a modern battle tank…aside from the obvious thirst for fuel and truck sized hole you drive into ozone layer each time you start one up. Anyway, there was a time when driving a truck was a chore and you had to shift your own gears and prepare for ascents with a proper dose of speed before the hill. Trucks were slow, ill-handling, and uncomfortable. If nostalgia for the old days of pickup truckin is your thing, then you could get this inline-6 and 5-speed manual equipped green beast. Find this 1996 Ford F-150 XLT bidding for $5,900 with 1 day to go, located in Clackamas, OR via eBay.

From the seller:
This amazing little short box Ford is in just fabulous condition as you can see in the photos. It is complettly stock and original including the paint. There is absolutely not one speck of rust on it. It runs and drives fantastic and needs nothing. Unfortunately the odometer blacked out so i will have to sell this truck as true miles unknown. If i would have to guess the mileage it would be either slightly under 100k or barely over but this truck looks so good it looks like a 20k mile truck. Again this vehicle is being sold as true miles unknown.VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
