This next car comes as a tip from Carter who writes: A good price no matter what. If this is real, it’s an excellent looking deal. And a sweet car. And an excellent deal. Only draw back is that it is remote. St Albans is all the way up in Northwestern VT between burlington and Montreal. Find this 1992 Volkswagen Golf offered for 1992 Volkswagen Golf offered for $3,850 in Burlington, VT via craigslist.
From the seller:
1992 VW Golf
title status: clean
92 VW Golf Hatchback
Base Model – meaning no radio, no power steering, no AC. Heat works great.
In great condition. Has two sets of tires and a few spare parts.
To get inspected (What I have a price for is the cost of the part):
exhaust work – $270
front breaks –
front ball joints – $17
Things that aren’t critical but should be replaced bit by bit:
timing belt – $30
torn inner cv boot – left axle
valve cover in engine
Some of these need to be replaced because they are the original parts and it is just what needs to happen after a certain time. The mechanic basically told me that parts are very inexpensive but of course, these things can add up here and there so I just want to give you all the information I got. As mentioned, this beautiful ride is really is for someone who wants to love up this car and knows there will be work to keep it running forever. With that said, it is in wonderful condition. The mechanic was very upset he had just bought a car as he would have bought in a heartbeat.
I am the second owner and the only reason I am selling is truly because I just love this car too much to let it sit out in the cold and I want it to go to a good home where someone who loves these cars can really take good care of it. It runs GREAT, it starts up without any issue. Has been a way more reliable car than my 2004 Honda Element which I ultimately need over the VW because of the trunk size being bigger and needing to haul alot of things due to my occupation.
No Trades. Price Firm. I am pricing this car based on the work it needs.
